This Privacy Policy explains how Lokal Media LLC (d/b/a Hawaii Vendors) (“Hawaii Vendors,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use hawaiivendors.com (the “Service”).

Information we collect

Account information. When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and (for couples) optional details such as your wedding date and preferred island.
Business listing information. Businesses provide listing details (name, description, photos, contact info, categories, location).
Inquiries. When you contact a vendor through the Service we collect the information you submit (name, email, phone, message, wedding details).
Payment information. Paid listings are billed by annual invoice. We do not collect or store payment card details on this site; we retain only your billing contact details and listing payment status.
Usage data. We collect analytics about how the Service is used (page views, clicks, inquiries) to operate and improve the platform.

How we use information

To provide the directory, accounts, inquiries, and business dashboards.
To process subscriptions and send transactional and performance emails.
To maintain security, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
To improve the Service through aggregate analytics.

Service providers

We share information with vendors who help us operate the Service, including:

Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage.
Intuit QuickBooks — invoicing for paid listings.
Resend — transactional and notification email.
Mapbox — maps on listing pages.
Vercel / Upstash — hosting and rate limiting.

When you submit an inquiry to a vendor, the information in that inquiry is shared with that vendor so they can respond.

Cookies

We use cookies for authentication (keeping you signed in) and analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features require them.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations. You may request deletion (see below).

Your choices

You can update your profile information from your account page.
You can request access to or deletion of your personal information by emailing info@hawaiivendors.com.
You can unsubscribe from non-essential emails using the link in each message.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
